The Duck
The Dawdling Duck is a family business based near Maidstone, in the centre of Kent's countryside. Our horse box bar is a converted Rice trailer, and although no longer used for it's original purpose, it still retains and boasts it's equestrian heritage. Equipped with fridges, and three serving areas (including one that extends from the rear ramp,) The Dawdling Duck can easily cater for weddings, parties and events of all sizes. Not only can the 'Duck' feature as focal point for outdoor festival style events, it's also fitted inside tipis, marquees and barns.
The Duckling
Our vintage indoor wooden bar is truly unique. We think it was some sort of church furniture before being adapted into it's current form. The dark carved wood is complimented by glass panels and cocktail glass hangers, and with its newly revarnished finish, it looks stunning. The bar comes complete with a rustic rear bar, adapted from a Welsh dresser, and housing a bottle chiller. Many clients choose to dress the top with fresh flowers.

- We don't just do weddings... we've served at birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, fates, corporate events, hen parties and BBQs in the back garden!
- Our bar menu showcases some carefully selected small producers, including local breweries and cideries.
- We try to avoid 'minimum spends' but if your event is on the smaller side we might need to agree one - we'll let you know if this is the case.
- Booking is simple - just fill out our online form and pay the returnable deposit.
